My grandmother is very ill, and has been for quite some time. She suffers from dementia (sp?), and last time I saw her – she didn’t remember who I was.

When my then-girlfriend got pregnant, my grandmother was living with us (by us, I mean my parents and me) and she was very supportive throughout the whole ordeal. We’d stay up all night, playing rummy at the table; just her and I. And she would keep changing the rules to her benefit. And I would be okay with that, because I was spending time with her. Talking to her about my then deceased grandfather, life, the depression, the war(s). It’s hard when your grandparents’ health starts declining. I’ll pray that she gets better.

I love grandma stories. Yours sounds like a blast. Bigfoot? Really? My grandma just stuck to the usual Catholic figures. (Was Bigfoot Catholic? I doubt it.)
