Normally I like short weeks because, well, they’re short! But this week has been total hell. Three days of work and school felt like three hundred days. Luckily, things are looking up!
My meltdown began with this post, where I alluded to a whole bunch of bullshit…I am happy to report that the bullshit has worked its way out. A completely ridiculous situation with my bank has been fixed! Financial aid is ALMOST here!
Today I received a package in the mail. Who doesn’t like receiving fun, unexpected packages; especially when they don’t involve bills?! Sarah’s dog, Daisy the wonder pug, read my sad post about my inability to eat my feelings macaroni and cheese. Daisy sent me this super fucking fabulous spread of mac n’ cheese with an adorable little card.
“My mom says you are sad. Whenever I’m sad I eat and so should you. I miss your cuddle nest. We love you!
<3 Daisy”
Thanks for making my day, Daisy! My cuddle nest misses you too.

Now this is a nice treat and a very thoughtful idea. Mac & Cheese sure does make the bad times seem less significant.
Short weeks are nice, but you usually have five days of work to do in four days. You know.
They are still holding out on my Fin Aid… bullshit. I need my effing money.
If I knew having furry friends would get me free stuff, I would have spent more time and energy luring God’s creatures into my friendship circle. Mmmm… Mac & Cheese. My hopes are that you enjoy it, and with every bite, your sadness ebbs. xoxo
That is one thoughtful dog!
Points for the dog getting you the real stuff and not that Easy Mac crap. Anyway, eating is the answer. I’ve been doing that just recently, only in celebration. I hope your financial aide takes a load off of your mind.
I have never heard a more considerate and thoughtful dog in my life.
He will make a good lover to a poodle some day.
That’s very sweet of Daisy, and Daisy’s mom. There must be something in the water, because it seems like everyone I talk to is having the week from hell.
Enjoy your mac and cheese, Miss Pants!
Wonderful to have friends who will send you edible love! I’m glad things are getting better for you, I agree with Amy that it’s been a rough week all around. Maybe Mercury is in retrograde, or some such b.s.
6 days……..apparently i am using your blog as my official countdown to “BFF in OC 2008″ weekend
Daisy is very sweet. You’d think having one eye might make you bitter, but obviously not!
It’s been a way crap week but it’s ending on a high note. Yay!
Aww!
